Small Business Websites are Critical to Success
Small business websites are becoming increasingly vital to a company’s chances for success. Not having one is like a kindergartener trying to play one-on-one against LeBron James. Research shows that approximately 8 out of 10 small businesses fail – if you do not have a website, the odds against your success get even worse.
According to research conducted by The Score Association of Herndon, VA in 2015, only 51 percent of small businesses even have a website. This continues to be the case even though the group found that 97 percent of consumers search the Internet for products and services. Of the companies that have small business websites, an astounding 82 percent of them did not use social media and 70 percent did not provide any sort of call to action to encourage people to buy goods and/or services from them. Even more amazing was the fact that the association found that 27 percent of small business websites failed to even include a phone number.
Afraid of Technology?
As the Internet becomes more and more a part of everyday life, you would think that every owner of every business would want an online presence. But a huge number of them do not, and for several different reasons. Some of them simply feel they do not have the time to build a business while trying to maintain a website. Others are hesitant to engage in Internet commerce, and shy away from technology as a whole because they feel they do not have the savvy to build a site.
Please do not fall into the trap of thinking that small business websites are a waste of time.
